This car was bought in 1986 by Matt and his Dad (Matt was 16). It was purchased from the junkyard in King George, and was in need of a full restoration.

The car was brought back gradually to a drivers condition. The engine was rebuilt, transmission was rebuilt, all new fuel lines, all new brake lines, brake wheel cylinders rebuilt, brake master cylinder rebuilt, new interior (carpets, seat covers, door panels, headliner), new trunk mat, generator rebuilt (a few times), mostly new wiring harness, ummm, what else? New WWW tires, new leaf springs, new shock absorbers. The original front wheel ball bearings have been replaced with new tapered roller bearings. Hmmm, what else? The body was in sad shape, and the original pink with white top was repained as Matador Red with India Ivory top.

Things left remaining include a lot of rechroming, and some minor body work that has created some surface rust in the rear doors. A good detailing on the car after that and it will once again be beautiful!
